Starting this blog to talk about comics, probably mention TV and movies as well and maybe toss out some fanfic ideas here and there. 

I joined a couple of "Comic Book"  sites over on Facebook and the whole focus is on How Much Money can be made off of comics or what slab is the Next Hot Title and other monetary nonsense that has very little to do with comics and everything to do with collecting for the sake of collecting and making money from that. 

I don't care about the money aspect.  I want to talk about comics.  I want to talk about the Stories and the Art and the things I like and dislike in comics.  I want to talk about favorite stories,  heroes and villains.  I invite others to join in.  We'll see how it goes.  

Brief bio:  My name is Grant and I have been running a small comic book store in Chicago for the last 11 years.  (So yeah, that's why I'm sick to death of the money topics on comics).  I've been reading comics since before the Moon Landing.  I love comics.  I like superheroes,  funny animals,  monsters, crime, sci-fi, horror,  underground,  adult,  war, western, historical fiction, krazy kids, spoofs, war, western and zombie comics.   My weak point would be romance comics,  but I've seen some that I thought were very good too.  

I'm taking this slow,  because there's a good chance I will be the only person to ever read any of this.  Only one way to find out.  I will do my best to post every couple of days,  but want to get some more images ready and pull some more thoughts together first.  At any rate,  welcome to Word Balloons and Thought Bubbles.  The Comic Book talk blog.
